The New Electro-Paint system from Masteretch addresses one of the biggest problems for our customers - how to infill and lacquer etched metals. Traditional methods are time consuming, use undesirable solvents and do not always give consistent results.
The electro plate method allows customers to infill even very shallow etched metals by leaving the etch resist in place and then 'plating' the infill into the etched area. As there is no overplating of the resist area, the resist can then be stripped with the most appropriate solution. The electro paint system works with both screen printed resists as well as dry film photo resist.
In addition to the paint infilling the system also has a clear lacquer that can also be 'plated' on. An extremely durable lacquer can be applied to most metals including brass, stainless steel, magnesium, copper, aluminum and bronze. This system will also be of use to customers who engrave metals.
A third advantage of the electro paint system is the ability to post lacquer dye the metals. A wide range of colors are available to enable the customer to lacquer - dye most metals so that for example aluminum can be given the appearance of copper, brass, gold etc.
It is also possible to sublimation print into the finished lacquer
